WatchAsked to respond to the word reality, we hosted a small gathering so that people could watch paint dry. This was a metaphor for how boring life can be and how easy it is to get caught up in our own routine rather than exploring and enjoying new things.

Summer Placements
It’s been a couple of weeks since I finished now, but over the summer I was lucky enough to spend nearly two months doing work placements - a week at Vivid, as part of their Summer Camp programme, and six weeks at Future.

You can't plan the Future
So, last week I wrote up a plan of things to do over the summer… which changed within two days of writing it.
From July to September I’ll be working at Future Design Conultants as an intern!
Around the internship, I’m still aiming to do plenty of my own work to keep this blog as fresh and full of new work as possible. In the meantime, watch this space!

Well, the show is over and my final year at TMC has come to an end. In September I’ll be joining the BA Graphics course down the road at Stockport College, but until then I have a 3 month gap… and there’s a lot I want to get done!

Work update
I’ve not posted anything for a while, so I thought I’d show a little bit of work which is in progress. I’m currently working on two briefs in college and one other piece which is a personal project.

British Library Poster
On Friday our class was set the task of producing a poster for The British Library. We had three hours to condense and format a shedload of information and put into a two colour (Black + 1) poster. Parker Pens Ad
Last week we did an advertising college and used the afternoon to create ad campign for Parker. The SMP of the campaign was to ‘Express yourself through pen and ink’. A tribute to Crouwel
Over May bank holiday (the one where there wasn’t a royal wedding) me and my girlfriend visited London for the first time. While we were there we decided to go to the Design Museum and take a look at the exhibition honouring Wim Crouwel’s life’s work. It was a brilliant exhibition which really opened my eyes to Crouwel’s work which up until then I hadn’t really looked...

Hard-Fi have only just released there new album, Killer Sounds, so I thought I’d redesign their old one.
I originally did this illustration about a year or so ago when I was looking at a lot of Banksy’s work, so when I stumbled across it again last week I finally came up with a use for it.

Record covers, 3 of …
So my third record cover is the one I’ve wanted to do for longest. “Starlight - Muse” is probably my favourite song by Muse, who are also one of my favourite bands, so you can see why I’ve been wanting to do this for a while.
